Tag Properties
Tag Properties
Tag Properties are an expansion to the definition of a tag on the server.
This new feature originates from the Tag Server task. Tag Server replaced
OPC Server for Client Builder communications thus allowing the Tag Server to
transfer a structure of data with each tag providing this time-saving new
feature.

Version 8 finalizes the integration of the original Client Builder functionality to
include the "auto" formatting which inherits information about the tag from the
server. Tag Properties provide various functionality such as minimum/maximum range
limitation as well as security and display formatting.

The server tag definition now includes properties that the Client
Builder animation can interpret and use, giving users more ability to
re-use animated graphics objects.

Digital tags can now easily display textual status, removing any confusion
about the current status of a device. Description will display the tag
description as defined in the server. Format is a special display technique used
when deploying branched windows and data.

Label display properties allow the application developer to pre-define the
text status possibilities. Bit Send animation is where the developer can
create the prompts that will be used when a user clicks on a control animation
at run time.
